Work Packages

Work Package 1: Co-ordination Committee

  • Establishing a high level Coordination Committee representing national ministries from all participating countries.
  • Assuring the integration of national priorities and strategies into the work of this project.
  • Paving the way for the development of joint eHealth RTD and innovation actions.

Work Package 2: Information exchange

  • Identifying eHealth strategies and policies, RTD initiatives, and roadmaps pursued at the level of the participating countries.
  • Compiling a descriptive overview of national-level eHealth priorities, initiatives and roadmaps, based on the information gathered at the national level.
  • Synthesizing national-level information in order to identify – at a generic level - thematic complementarities between strategies, RTD initiatives, roadmaps.
  • Identifying opportunities and gaps as well as thematic RTD clusters suitable to be addressed through joint activities.
  • Submitting recommendations for discussion and ratification by the Coordination Committee.

Work Package 3: RTD structures

  • Identifying and describing national structural frameworks and mechanisms for RTD programme and roadmap formulation, implementation and exploitation.
  • Describing stakeholders and key actor groupings involved.
  • Analyse formal structural opportunities of planning, implementing and exploiting joint RTD activities.

Work Package 4: Dissemination

  • Providing a comprehensive, information resource and access to eHealth RTD and innovation programmes/roadmaps, topics, structures and actors across Member States and participating countries.
  • Facilitating coordination and cooperation amongst all actors and stakeholders in this field, and to thereby stimulate the creation of a European eHealth Research and Innovation Area.
  • Feeding the results and insights of this project back into national, regional and European policy processes and to relevant actors.
  • Make results and insights of this project available to the wider public.
